From The Mighty Oak

Today I noticed a little woodland close to the sports centre which I have started using. Just into the wood I came across these wonderful acorns, the Rowan berries were beautiful too.
I heard on the radio that this is a special year in which trees are producing an overabundance of nuts and acorns. It is called a 'Mast Year, it is one of those amazing mysteries of nature, and nobody quite knows what causes them. I had never heard about this before now.
