Across the Tay

After opening the new Spittal Primary School in Rutherglen this morning I went to Dundee to launch a new leaflet on Curriculum for Excellence which will be going to every parent of a school age child in Scotland. The launch event, in Dundee University, also featured a number of schools demonstrating things they are doing in CfE and it was great fun.

Leaving Dundee en route for a visit to Kirkland High School in Methil (before ending up at meetings in Edinburgh) we crossed the Tay Bridge. Looking back as we drove over the Firth there was an amazing , almost Biblically apocalyptic , cloud formation over the city and I managed to capture a bit of it from the Fife side, with , as a great though equally Biblical contrast , the harvest being completed in the foreground.
