Darkness on the edge of town

Well, okay - I may have half-inched that title before, but in this case it's quite appropriate because right now I am in the midst of a several street-wide power cut. The lights went out at around 8.15 and as of now, two and half hours later, they are still out. Sureal. I don't have any candles in so I've had to rely on this little blue torch and halfway decent night vision...wish me luck! *Thump! Bang! Ouch!!*
