Wind Battered

The wind is horrendous - OMG, everything is battered, rhodo's we shifted this morning (whilst calm) are looking worse for wear. To add to that Doug and I are also looking worse for wear. The nor-west wind has a way of wrecking most things, us included.

I hear the wind is reaching 90kph, which is a good clip. Trees are down locally, the power has been off this afternoon but is back on again now. I went and rescued these daffs (yes, from my garden) before they become totally munted. Doug came in with some pansy's, the wind had whipped the out of the ground!!!

Apart from gardening I've been trying to sort out the Salon results; the emails we did last night through mail merge worked OK, not perfect. Perfect would have been one email for each person, not an email for each entry getting an acceptance or honours. But quite a number bounced, so that had to be sorted - some detective skills, so time consuming

Friend has just left, we've decided not to enter the Bowron Inter-club competition this year. We called for landscape images of a particular sort and had a very poor response from our members. So that's that then!!!

Off to Tekapo tomorrow, hope this wind has subsided some what.

Rainie
