Scenes from everyday life

Dunrobin Castle

Dunrobin Castle is the seat of the Countess of Sutherland.

I really wanted a photo today of the family museum in the castle grounds: a bizarre place full of official gifts given to the Dukes of Sutherland over the years, and dozens of heads of unfortunate animals that the Countess's ancestors have shot "on safari".

Sadly the museum is out of bounds for photography so the best I could manage is this rather conventional photo of the castle.
