The Urban Meadow

This summer Hackney council created an Urban Meadow where I live in London Fields.

Urban meadows have flowers and grasses which provide food for bees and butterflies, as well as being colourful areas for people to enjoy in the summer.
Meadows combine a mix of annual and perennial species which give our parks a great splash of colour as well as having flowers which bloom year after year.
