Fishing Feeling

We fished the river. The water from last week had put it into spate and a few fish had probably made it up. But by the time we arrived, it was falling back and the fish had obviously taken up their hidey holes until it rained again.

Made it down to the rocks for an evening cast in the Atlantic. The mackerel had apparently been and gone back out, so all we found were wee coal fish and baby pollack.

Anyway, the peace and wilderness was beginning to remove all stresses and worries. The beer helped with that too and Purdey was already getting that fishing trip feeling (happy exhaustion).
