Xewkija

It's Festa week in the village of Xewkija so the Parish Church of St John the Baptist is illuminated like a Christmas tree!
The dome is higher than St Paul's Cathedral and the nave can seat 4000.
It was build mainly by the volunteer labour of parishioners and took 20 years to complete (1951 - 1971)
