Fading summer

This is the Memorial Garden outside my office window at the church where I work. In spring and early summer, it is gorgeous, full of different colors. Now it is beginning to fade. I scared away a squirrel when I stopped to take the photo - possibly he was hiding away some treats for colder weather.
