Gorge-ous !

We took a trip out today and visited Cheddar Gorge. We didn't pay to go in any of the attractions as we have done that before, but we did enjoy the wonders of creation that were freely available to all. Well to those could get there anyway.

We drove right up through the gorge, stopping at a couple of points, just drinking in the majesty of it. Then we drove back down again, parked up and explored on foot at the town end of the gorge, before buying some authentic cheddar cheese and some bread rolls, so that we could drive back p and pick a point where we could sit and eat lunch and just enjoy the view again.

After that we went and explored one of the walks from Black Rock - so quiet once we got away from the road, and the blackberries were good too! Then it was a cross country journey back home, via a quick stop at the Chew Valley Reservoir where amongst the waders there were at least a dozen black tailed godwits, which might have been my blip if they had just been that little bit closer.

Majesty in terms of huge size. Majesty in terms of peace and quiet. Majesty in terms of a variety of wildlife. Then I got home and found Honeycombebeach's majestic blip of today's sunrise.

What a great and might God we have!
