Impressionism

Sitting in the car you correctly get the impression of a drizzly seaside village after the crowds have left. The cafe is still open, and the chip shop is hopeful, but probably not for much longer. The foghorn moans from along the coast as dog-walkers carry sand into their cars. In the waves one brave youth emulates the seagulls bathing in the newly diverted stream across the beach.

The weather could seriously dampen ones spirit, but thankfully we know just how beautiful this place is, especially on a clear sunny day! At least the white horses have gone, which suggests a smoother passage to Ireland tomorrow.
