Custard cream

This is a home made custard cream.
We discovered them whilst on holiday in North Uist for sale at the local shop and made on the island.
They were yummy!
So I found the recipe from the Great British Bake Off and gave it a go. Result?
Yummy!
So why make your own custard creams when you can buy them for half the price?
Well, mine are made of butter not hydrogenated veg oil is one good reason.
Also you can make them as big as you like!
