O Beautiful World!

I often walk along this path - it runs alongside the canal and what was once Reading Gaol, a prison made famous by Oscar Wilde.

the railings next to the canal read 'O Beautiful World', the words Wilde was said to have spoken on his release. (on the big version, you can see these words, just to the right of the closest tree)

it's so beautiful along here, especially on a sunny day; it's easy to forget that the tall red-brick wall next to you is actually a prison...
