Teacher of the Year

This is Jenny McAllister , Scotland's 2013 Teacher of the Year , on the beach at North Berwick with pupils from the town's Law Primary.

Jenny works at the inspirational and ever interesting Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick and is the first Scottish Teacher of the Year who works outside a school setting.

She competes next month in the UK Teacher of the Year competition and I popped over to see her at work this morning and wish her luck after opening the new joint campus for St Mary's Primary & Haddington Infants School in East Lothian .
