After The Storm

This is the results of the terrible nor'west winds that we had on the 10th of September.
It was supposed to be the worst storm that we had had in 40 years.
This beautiful old oak tree was planted about 1860. It is believed that an acorn was planted by Charles Hodgkinson.
It is up at the Ilam University, off Dovedale Ave, and this would have been farm land way back then.
Today I have been west of the city out to Charing Cross, and seen some of the devastation in the area out there. Many large pine trees have come down and gum trees.
The Chainsaws will be working for a very long time, as well as men fixing fences, powerlines, and phone lines.
