Arrivederci Italia .... (Sob!)

Today, we left our beautiful place high on a hill in Tuscany, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. We were very sad to go, but know we will be back again in the near future.

Here is a shot taken from the plane window, as we traversed the Alps, traveling from Bologna to Frankfurt Airport on the first leg of our journey home. It was a looooooong day, with some delays, and lots and lots of flying time, but now we are back in our cozy place in Boston, happy to be home, but missing beautiful Tuscany at the same time!

We will have to return there soon!

PS: Did you know there are no fewer than THIRTY THREE tunnels on the road between San Casciano and Bologna Airport?
