Rain coming, with horse

Heavy rain and strong winds were forecast for today, so I went out this morning to pick some blackberries before the rain arrived. It looked as if it was coming, but hasn't yet (1pm). Maybe it veered off north. Update (2.30pm) - the rain's here!!

I'm going to make a crumble with the blackberries and some windfall apples which a friend was giving away at the Fairtrade Social last night. And while I'm at it I'll make a cake to help sustain the factory workers tomorrow.

There are plenty of blackberries still to ripen in the hedgerows - must pick by the end of the month though, 'cos after that the devil will have peed on them, so They do say!
