Praying Mantis stare down

Found this in the house today resting on a lunch bag. I didn't want the cats to eat it so I moved it outside on the bag. This thing would budge. Tried to entice it with a large leaf but it wouldn't go. So we had a stare down. Didn't work but it did stay still for a photo. Later it slowly lumbered off onto a leaf.

If I was small enough, I'd be dinner.
