Grandma travels in style

Our first full day in Bangkok. We spent it at the Grand Palace (indeed, it was grand) and sight-seeing via river taxi-boat. Ryan and I also walked for miles around the streets of, and near to, China town. The madness and bustle is unbelievable, with tuk tuks and motorbikes everywhere. Even down the thin, winding market streets weaving between the hundreds of pedestrians, street-food-stall-sellers and market owners... Which truly is an achievement!

By far the easiest - and most exciting - way of getting around in Bangkok is by tuk tuk. They even have built-in air conditioning... Ha ha ha. I love that my 74 year old grandma is up for travelling around like this (it's her and my dad in the tuk tuk in front). I bet her friends at home won't quite believe her when she tells them about what she got up to!

We found a beautiful night market in the evening, after an incredible meal sat right by the river, and picked up a couple of presents for people back at home.
