...... Nancy and Owen have taken me to Crieff Hydro. What a lovely gift.
After the usual faffing associated with travelling, we were off, selecting the touristic route through Glen Devon. Our chalet near the main hotel is superb. Having bedrooms over two floors pleases me.
A walk up The Knock preceded dinner in the main restaurant. The food is fine but shoots out surprisingly rapidly and service is geared at the nervous looking parents of very young children who clearly appreciate the lightning quick delivery as they struggle to contain impatient bratiness.
The evening ceilidh in the main ballroom consisted of two shifts; very young children followed by very precise sober people. Pissed hooly dancers were not to be found, so we gave it a miss. Dirty dancing this is not.
