Moonshot

I am currently reading a book about the NASA Apollo program.

The feats of engineering that were overcome in a very short period of time (9 years, admittedly by an almost bottomless pit of money and some 400,000 employees and contractors) are quite astounding. The level of trust and the amount that had to be figured out in only 10 Gemini missions really was something. They really were making it up as they went along.

To think that you could be stuck 380,000 km from earth and no one is able to come and save you.

Not a great picture of the moon. My 300mm lens can't get that close.
