DisneyLand Day 1

The morning ran without a hitch, breakfast at the hotel and cars loaded by just after 9 meant we got to Disney by 10.00am. The advantage of staying at THE Disneyland Hotel was the valet parking and luggage store! We were booked in and given our tickets and on our way...

The children, especially the younger 4 were mesmerised by the castle. Then all 6 tried to pull the sword from the stone. The magic had kicked in! We did some rides - carousel and teacups with the younger 4 while MrRoly and Ickle Bruv found the Indiana Jones ride (?) with the big 2. Icicle Bruv then swapped back so I went and got horribly lost and joined them to do another roller coaster type ride...

After a nasty lunch (with Captain Jack Sparrow mingling) we returned to the hotail to check into our rooms. By shear good luck, we caught the 'show' in the hotel lobby and grabbed photos with Minnie Mouse, Snow White, Goofy, Pluto and Gipetto!

A quick freshen up before leaving the park to go to "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show". None of us knew what we were getting so it was a fantastic surprise - Grandma especially enjoyed the 'bissons sauvage'...

We returned to the park to use our magic fast passes and discovered the delights of Buzz Lightyear Zap 'Em Up Ride* while MrRoly took the big 2 on Space Mountain. Then I might have taken them on Space Mountain.

We tried to stay up for the fireworks but gave up at 10.30 - tired grumpy children! No sooner were we all in bed than Lily started the first of her many holiday nosebleeds. We gave her the spare chocolate off the pillow and she soon cheered up!
