BuffaloGR's Journal

Mr Bo Jangles

Richmond is replete with statues of confederate heroes. Bill Robinson, 1878-1949 is not one of those. He is known for singing and dancing; starred with Shirley Temple in the film "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm" for example.

This sculpture, by Jack Witt, is at the intersection of Leigh and Adams street in his home town of Richmond.

His funeral in NYC was attended by 32,000 persons.
