Bryce Canyon

Following a sunset at Bryce Canyon yesterday, we had an early start to catch the sunrise back at Bryce again this morning. The combination of the red rock pillars and the golden sun really set each other off to great effect. After breakfase we headed back to Bryce, and some of us took a walk down into the canyon basin woodland. The views on the way down were simply stunning (though the walk back up at 2500 metres was a little hard work).

This shot was taken soon after sunrise. Though you can't tell the scale of the hoodos (and the number of them), this has a great recession through to the background hills.
