What an inspiration

For a couple of months I've been following the exploits of Colm Farrell on Facebook.

Colm (also known as The Hazzard) is walking 5,000 (yes, five thousand) miles across every county of mainland UK to raise awareness (and funds) for the charity Console Suicide Prevention.

As he reaches each new town or village he relies on people offering him a bed for the night (+ a meal hopefully).

Yesterday he arrived here in Kelso and a place for him was found almost immediately.

This morning he has set off for St Boswells and will then be heading to Selkirk, Peebles, Biggar, Kilmarnock, Ayr before heading into England. He hopes to reach Cornwall next June and is planning to walk every day without any breaks, even for Christmas.

The least I can do is give him some publicity so here goes:

Firstly, you can contact Colm and follow his progress at his Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/colmpfarrell

If you'd like to give a donation please visit http://www.mycharity.ie/event/colm_farrells_event/

I've tried to persuade him to join Blipfoto so that he can share his amazing story and photos with everyone.
