Flicker

I left area this morning in hopes that the eagles were active. Alas, they weren't, but on the way back I noticed this flicker on the ground. I don't know if anything was wrong with it, but it didn't dark off like they are apt to do. I was able to inch within eight feet of it before it climbed a nearby tree and disappeared.
