Sunny Strolls on Sunday

We forgot that it's not Summer any more, so getting up early was actually almost before sunrise!

We wanted to walk into the Algendar Gorge. It's full of wildlife, insect, bird and mammal; but it seems to have been 'farmed' since we last went, and the swathes of whispering bamboo had been cut back. It had a much less wild feel about.

There was little in the way of wildlife this time as well, apart from some 'huge' mountain goats, but the air was dusty and I couldn't risk changing lenses to get a shot!

It was still a great way to begin the day and a recommended walk.

Later we headed off along a path through the woods that takes in 4 viewing points and ultimately leads to 2 remote beaches, Cala Macarella, and pictured above, Cala Macarelleta. We didn't go to the beaches, our energy levels weren't great, but instead took in the viewing points and helped direct lost tourists :o)

A lovely day - cloudy again but still baking hot!

Our meal was at Es Baranc, a really nice welcoming restaurant.

Still backblipping, catching a bit of wifi when I can!
