Cygnets

It's been a glorious day, and now an almost full moon is shining very brightly, so this afternoon I walked by the River Gipping at Needham Market. These two were making the most of the late summer/autumn sunshine and one was stretching his wings and looking very impressive too. A couple of weeks ago they were with Mum and Dad, who were nowhere to be seen this afternoon, so I imagine these two are getting ready to leave the nest. It was a real pleasure to feel the warmth of the sun again but I understand it's to be wet and windy again tomorrow!
