life guard..

..Gary, on patrol today at Trinity Beach.
After school, junior and I headed off to the beach to collect shells (me) and swim between the flags (him!) .
Trinity Beach is one of Cairns' northern beaches and stretches long, sandy and palm fringed against surprisingly clear water. It is dry season which means swimming is free of stingers and 'jellies' and the water is cool and refreshing.

Life guards are on duty every day on the beach, patrolling an area 'between the red and yellow flags'.
This is G shutting up shop at 5pm carting off the flags, paddle board and kit to be stacked away until tomorrow.

Very heroic...they do an amazing job keeping swimmers safe in the surf.
