Restaurant at the End of the Universe

We spent the whole day in the Kroller-Müller Museum feeding our art molecules with their amazing collection. We were very fortunate to see their big Van Gogh exhibition which closes on Sunday.

After today's visit I must find out more about Charley Toorop, whose work - especially three self portraits of her - really impressed me.

Just before closing we returned to the restaurant for a drink. The empty tables outside had an eery foreboding.

The museum is inside the Hoge Veluwe Park which is a vast area of heathland, woodland and areas of drifting sand. At various points along the road, masses of photographers had their huge and expensive lenses focused on the herds of deer. The stags were bellowing their claims of sexual prowess in between rounding up any disbelieving females.
