Another day goes by

Sir Bradley

Had a day off today to see the Tour of Britain tackle the monster that is Caerphilly Mountain. The day started of very wet indeed and was forecast to stay that way, but that didnt put us off.

We parked the car near the mountain cafe (if you are ever in the area, it is one place you just have to visit) where i needed something warm inside me. I chose a jumbo combo, my friends on FB have had the pleasure of seeing this, lol.

After munching my way through that it was time to find a place along the road and wait for about 3 hours until the cyclist came. Luckily enough, the rain eventually stopped and the sun popped out. I picked the same place as last year as i had some lovely images from there.

Finally the riders drew ever closer and finally started to reach the top of the mountain, i was ready to snap away, couching down low i took my position ready to move out of the way of the oncoming support vehicles. But every time i took a shot, the old numpty in front of me pushed his hands out and clapped right in front of me. The amount of image i have with his hands clapping away spoiling the images is very sad indeed. I do have some relatively good ones which i am posting bit by bit on Flickr which you can see here. Please pop by again as i am updating as i go along.

The other lovely thing about today was bumping into Ruth and her husband. Make sure you take a look at her cracking image.

As you can see, todays image is of Sir Bradley Wiggins. The sad thing was that he was bunched up in a group so i couldnt get a tidy image, this one is slightly out of focus. This year the riders seemed to be very close to the support vehicle which also made it difficult to get the images i wanted. Theres always next year i suppose.
