Ungrateful rose

Despite the amount of attention I flourished on this rose throughout the spring and summer, with gallons of water and rose food, it barely responded. At one point I thought it might be a goner. But a sprinkling of rain from mother nature and it suddenly bursts into life!

I shall ignore the slight.

I like the look of flash at dusk. Added bonus ... it camouflages the manky stuff in the background, too.
