Rus In Urbe

This wooded scene is actually the natural cover for the main wall of the Silverburn shopping centre where I had to go to get somethings this afternoon. Unlike local high streets this place was going like a fair, bustling, busy with coffee shops and stalls including one selling specialist liqueurs. Fortunately the feet cleaning fish are no longer there.

Given the popularity of these malls plus their practicality given our volatile weather, perhaps we need to fundamentally rethink what our town centres should look like and what function they should have.

Anyway the good weather and being up early gave me lots of energy for the rest of the day.
