South Prairie Creek Restoration

It's always great to be able to checkin on completed projects. Last year Pierce County built three logjams and a log revetments to improve habitat conditions in South Prairie Creek which is one of the best salmon tributaries in the Puyallup watershed. So far the structures are doing great and fish seem to be taking advantage as we saw over 30 pink salmon holding in the pools creates. Wood and salmon are a good fit in stream systems in the PacNW.
