Tour of Woking

It may be sacrilege to say this but I detect a little bit of cycle fatigue setting in around Surrey where the councils have gone overboard to get chunks of whatever tour is coming through. The Tour of Britain wound all over Woking so it was not a day to set off in your car. The motorcycle police outriders take liberties with the open roads, tearing up the tarmac in a way that would have them reaching for the notebook if it was you or me.

The cyclists come and, whoosh, they've gone in just a few frames. The light wasn't good and I'd picked a fast section of road that didn't help either. I just couldn't decide what to do with the camera so settled for something safe. A bored-looking Bradley Wiggins in the yellow leader's shirt is tucking-in behind his teammate while former Sky rider, Mark Cavendish, wearing the white shirt and the smile, is joking with his old team chums as if it's a leisurely trip through the park. In fact just here they're in the dead centre of Woking - bisecting Brookwood cemetery.
