The Old 76 House, Tappan, New York State

The Old '76 House is a Dutch-style house built during the founding of Tappan in 1686 and expanded in 1755 to serve as a tavern. It was a "prison" for the Revolution's most notorious spy, Major John André, who was questioned in the building by the great George Washington himself.
