Day 29 – Twillingate, Newfoundland

Today we made the 250 mile journey to Twillingate on the northern coast of Newfoundland. We stopped along the way at a salmon interpretation centre where we saw salmon jumping up ladders in the river! It was very cool and I would have loved to have this as my photo of the day, but as they were so quick, our photos did not turn out very well!

We arrived in Twillingate around 6pm and took this photo from a small hill looking over the town. It is absolutely beautiful here. Twillingate is very picturesque, made up of a number of islands, inlets and peninsulas surrounded by the ocean. The town is spread out with many pretty weatherboard houses and the occasional fishing dock and boat.

I think we are going to like it here!
