We now have a sea view..

So, after remarking to the receptionist that "oh, it's a lovely room but there are no cupboards! Where do we put our clothes?", bless her, she upgraded us to a split level room with a balcony and this is our view!
The other room was gorgeous and the bathroom had an enormous shower which you needed a degree in physics to be able to work out how to get the side spouts/rainfall head/shower spray to work.. But NO CUPBOARDS!! So bizarre!! Anyway, I'm glad we mentioned it because we're now in a fabulous room and we've been able to empty our suitcases and hang our clothes up!

We spent the day dodging heavy rain showers and getting our bearings which meant that we sheltered firstly under the awning of a gelato stall (coffee gelato for me, limoncello gelato for OH) then in a lovely bar which was playing some wonderful chill-out jazz and had Etna Bianco wine (our new favourite) and then down an ally to a pizzeria and Etna Rosato wine..
Oh dear.. I hope the weather improves otherwise this is going to be a very boozy holiday...! ;-)
