A game of two halves

Mr A had the day off today (missing the Manchester Derby; but given the final score that was a good thing!). He's been itching to work his magic in my garden for ages (well since he did the decking!) and has been on a mission over the last week buying the end of season plants from B&Q. He bought quite a few for his own garden and we went together to B&Q yesterday to get the chipped bark and whatever else they had on offer. The plants we bought were all reduced to £2 or less so we saved quite a bit overall. They are all hardy plants, so hopefully they won't take too long to establish and will add a bit of colour next year. I think it looks bigger now and is certainly neater; the grass was really mossy and always really wet so not a functional bit of lawn. There's still a little bit left to do in the top corner but that will do for another day. I've not been idle either; my task was pruning at the front of the house, both green bins are now full to the brim. We are both exhausted pleased with our efforts :-)
