Apple cake.

Last day of holidays - back to work tomorrow. After three weeks off I suspect it may hurt a little. Not looking forward the the 6:23 alarm call, nor the commute. Ugh.

Anyways, I did some baking today to use up some apples from our four apple trees (inherited when we bought the house we're in). Not so many this year think the late spring and dry summer didn't help.
Popped up the allotment and dig up the rest of the spuds, harvested a pumpkin and planted out some garlic. And not forgetting the never ending beans!

Roast chicken for dinner and a bit of r&r as I have a horrible headache I've not managed to shift all day. Hoping some sleep will fix that. Talking of which, better get some shut eye...
