Out and About

Inside Passage

Nearly 15 years ago when we first moved to the Pacific Northwest we camped at a campground on Vancouver Island along the Inside Passage. We sat on the beach in the twilight and watched the moon come up and the cruise ships sail down the Inside Passage -- the inland route between Alaska and Washington state.

It was a thrill to be on a cruise ship sailing the Inside Passage as we made our way home after our Alaskan cruise. We were thrilled to see dozens of porpoises and dolphins swimming along side the ship. It was wonderful to see gorgeous scenery including small islands, waterfalls and small villages along the route.
