Welsh Rarebit v Fish Supper

Driving home tonight debating about cooking dinner or buying a fish supper. Doing a mental inventory of the contents of the fridge and looking for inspiration! Kintyre Cheddar, celery, plus all the usual stuff. For some obscure reason Welsh Rarebit came to mind. I remember a 1st World War veteran once telling me about how his battalion used to cook Welsh Rarebit it in the trenches- in billy cans. I looked up the BBC Good Food Recipe and with a dash of this and sprinkle of that here is the result.

P.S. For Foodies, the base is toasted soda scone.
