Surprise

Bob wanted to play Spy in the front yard this morning before church. This is very much a city neighborhood and a child should not be left unattended. I begrudgingly joined him, dreading the Eastern sun that would make me sweaty and wilted to start the day.

Alas, we walked outside and were greeted with a balmy temperature of 82F (27C)! Fall is here! Bob spied on the neighborhood. Instead of shying away from the sun, I actually got some weeding done. When I brought my weeds to the back gate, I was surprised by these stunning flowers. I think this cactus is happy fall is here, too.
