Leaving Home

So it was an exciting and early start to the morning.

I am departing from Douglas harbour bound for Heysham before driving on to Kendal to spend the night there at the home of Sheila who is one of the members of our canal boat crew.

I am on the car ferry called "Ben my Chree" which when translated from the Manx equates to "Girl of my Heart"

This is a view that must have been taken thousands of times.

Fortunately the weather was flat calm.
