Fog!

First thing this morning there was thick fog here. So thick that it made these spiders' webs look ethereal! Well really beautiful anyway. How do they learn to make such perfect webs? Who teaches them?

Was planning to go flying today, but it was still thick fog when we got to the airfield at 9:30, and even by 1pm the haze was still bad, even though it looked like blue sky right over the top of us. But we did get up for all of 15 minutes, but it was going to be very local stuff and at very low level, so a couple of circuits was all we did before landing and handing the plane back again.

Visibility was just not good enough, and as my instructor said many times while learning ... "its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than in the air wishing you were on the ground!" So another time!
