MADE IN AMERICA

No photo ops in Custer this morning, so
We took a lesser traveled dirt road,
Into Wind Cave National Park.
(Custer & Wind Cave are direct neighbors)

Bumping along,
We saw nothing, nothing, nothing.
Then,
After cresting a hill,
Wow.
Several hundred bison,
Stretched across the prairie.

Most were on the dreaded,
Back-lit side of the road, but
This family came into the light.
Moseying down into a ravine,
For a big, long drink of disgusting water.
