Black cockatoos

I worked at home today and there have been a dozen or so black cockatoos around the place, chomping away on the silky oak flowers that are in full bloom at the moment.

They are such majestic birds and I love to watch them in flight as their wing beat is so slow it looks almost as though they will fall out of the sky. You can generally hear them first as they make a very distinctive wailing cry sort of noise.

I tried for ages to get a good blip of them today to no avail. There were either tree branches in my view or sun in my eyes.

I may have to drop my iPhone only rule for this project if I have another day like today.
