Southerness

Here are members of Dunscore Birdwatching Group at Southerness lighthouse (the second oldest in Scotland). Built in 1749, lit in 1800 but decommissioned in 1936.

We had a full days birding today at Mabie Forest, Carsethorn, Powilimont and Southerness. A respectable 45 species, I think. Just lovely to be out in the fresh air in such beautiful scenery.
