Heron Today, Gone Tomorrow!

Ok, so I'm struggling to come up with an interesting title!

And really it should say Heron Yesterday, Two Herons Today!!

Walking through the park yesterday, I noticed a heron standing beside the busy duck pond. It was completely unfazed by the passerbys, and seemed to be waiting to be fed, like the ducks.

Today, in the park on the opposite side of the river, I came across these two. The young heron was equally tame but the older one was more wary. They were still some distance away so the shot's not as sharp as I would like.

I wonder if this is Mum babysitting the youngster, while Dad's off out feasting?! But I'm not a Heron expert, so feel free to correct me!
