Was one of the best...

I was surprised this morning after dropping Ella at school to see that this house around the corner is in the process of being knocked down.

It is obviously from EQ damage, but after standing for the past 3 years looking ok i had thought that maybe it had survived .
It wasn't that old,maybe 10yrs, was designed quite uniquely...and looked really nice on its site. Its exterior was covered in stone, and it blended in with the surrounding valley so well.
Only two days ago I noticed that the stonework was being removed but i assumed that was because it may have had some damage from the EQs and was going to be repaired.
This morning , the diggers had been in yesterday it seemed and just smashed thru the roof and done some major demo work already, they don't look like they are even going to do any salvage of the lovely windows or anything. Seems such a shame.
